I am using HackerTab to control new tabs. It doesn't seem like I can do that when Station is installed. I would love a setting to disable Station from controlling new tabs.

Hello Christoffer Berg,
No worries, we understand that some people prefer their other extensions, that's why you can use Station by hitting CMD+E (or CTRL+SPACE on windows). 
If you want to still use Station and keep your previous extension in the New Tab, you basically just need to re-install on top of Station your previous extension, that's how Chrome works unfortunately.
